The people of God in 6th century B.C. had fallen into spiritual lethargy. They had normalized spiritual laziness and they procrastinated the purpose of God, prioritized themselves and put trust in their own work. God bursts into time and space with a word for his people, "Consider your ways!". As Haggai calls the people of God to consider their ways and to reorient their priorities 2,500 years ago, his words ring just as true today.
